Holding our Community

Following the Camp Fire

Since the Camp Fire started on December 8, we have given over 180 free treatments to people burned out of their homes.  In addition to the people most severely affected, there has not been a single person into the clinic in the last month who is not feeling the effects of this natural disaster.  It is an honor to hear your stories, and make this space safe and healing as we all ride the waves of the after math of such an immense community trauma, and as we begin to heal.  I had intended to continue giving free treatments through December, but need to to change that plan.

THIS IS THE LAST WEEK (for now) FOR FREE TREATMENTS FOR THOSE WHO ARE DISPLACED BY THE FIRE.

We plan to apply for funding so that we can offer more free treatments in 2019 to support recovery.  But for now, please know that acupuncture is highly effective for treating PTSD and stress.  It helps us to reset our nervous systems and come back to center.

"We would like to emphasize the clinical importance of acupuncture for PTSD. Acupuncture might be useful in emergency medicine. A recent case series study suggested possible effectiveness of acupuncture in emergency conditions involving PTSD and emotional trauma ."

Chico Community Acupuncture practices acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (including acupuncture and herbs) in a community setting. This means that you will be treated while relaxing in a recliner, in a room with other people who are also receiving acupuncture.

There is an additional $10 initial patient fee for your first visit.

We charge a sliding scale because it often takes more than one treatment to achieve your health goals, and we want you to be able to come in often enough to get excellent results.

People regularly get help with:
